UV Specialities
Description
The STERACUP plus is formulated to suit pre-formed cup, pail and tube printing. They are characterised by a low residual odour and low migration properties. Suitable for very high speed cup printing.
Features
- Suitable for printing on the outside of packaging or cups
- These inks conform to the latest European norms for the use in primary packaging
- Extra low in residual odour
- Very high reactivity
- Low migration properties
- Optimal resistance properties will be obtained 24 hours after printing
Applications
- Dry offset
WATERLESS OFFSET
Description
The inks of Excure 60000 series are especially developed for waterless printing plates. These inks are designed for printing paper and plastic substrates within a specific operating temperature range (23°C - 27°C).
Features
- Good adhesion
- Can be overprinted or laminated, but pre-test is always recommended
- Good ‘post-curing’ rate
- Excellent ink transfer on rollers and onto substrates
- No VOC's
- Lower dot gain
- Higher ink density
- Intense bright colours
Application Area
- Dry offset (Toray)
METAL DECORATIVE INKS
Description
Silver and gold one and two component offset inks are included in all Excure offset series.
Features

UV ADHESIVES
Description
The Excure laminating glues are UV-curing glues for varnishing machines, flexo units and/or letterpress units.
Features
- These glues can be applied and wet-on-wet, but preferably wet-on-dry on Excure UV inks. On top of the glue, apply the laminating foil, before the curing.
Applications
- Varnishing machines / coaters / flexo / letterpress
Description
These UV adhesives are suitable for cold foiling. A UV curable adhesive is printed onto the substrate either via the letterpress or the flexo process.
The handling of our products does not require special machinery except of a laminating station and
a winding station. After the print of the adhesive, a foil is applied on top of the adhesive and passes
through the UV lamp in contact with the wet adhesive. The UV light penetrates through the carrier
foil and the metallic layer and cures the adhesive. In the last step, the carrier foil is peeled off from
the substrate leaving the foiled image on the areas printed with the adhesive
Short explanation of cold foiling process
Advantages
- No hot stamping unit is necessary
- No hot stamping experience is required
- No etched die needed
- Minimal capital costs for in-line foiling
- Dramatically reduced image preparation time
- Use of ordinary printing plates
- Economic advantage for small foiling jobs
- Register tolerances can be controlled easily
Applications
- In general, most reel-fed label printing machines with laminating or rotary stamping units are suitable for this process
